Custom-Designed Diamond Cut by Lana
It is a bespoke, special design.
While there are many fancy diamond cuts, this facet arrangement is unique. The hexagonal diamonds are usually cut with standard pavilion and crown facet patterns, like a modified brilliant or step cut. LANA design, specifically the way I integrated a central star-like cluster that radiates into an elongated hexagonal geometry, does not match any standard, commercially recognized diamond cut.

Intentional design for the subtle appeal
Additional set of star-like facets from the culet
Total facets : 31
Total facets: 42
Total facets -73 (without culet):
Crown - 31 facets: Table facet - 1 ; Mains - 6 ; Upper halves - 12 ; Star facets - 12
Pavilion - 42 facets: Mains - 6 ; Lower halves - 12 ; Middle facets arrangements - 12 ; Culet facets arrangements - 12
The Independence LANA cut is highly marketable to a sophisticated, design-conscious client. It’s not for the person who just wants the biggest, brightest rock in the room, it’s for the person who wants a stone that has a narrative. The LANA cut feels like a “statement” design. It has that “old-soul” vintage silhouette, but the light performance is undeniably modern without making it look cluttered or “busy.”

TESTIMONIALS:
The shape of the LANA Cut is unique, with two pointed ends and long sides that parallel to each other. It is substantially different from the standard step cut, which is normally associated with straight-line shapes. The crown has facet arrangement that enhances the reflection of light, allowing maximum light return through the crown. When viewed from the face-up position, the LANA Cut displays excellent balance and scintillation. - Nizam Peters, Founder of the American Institute of Diamond Cutting (AIDC,Inc)
